12 men indicted in drug trafficking investigation involving Pittsburgh gang

PITTSBURGH — A dozen men from three counties are charged with drug trafficking after a monthslong investigation.

The indictment is part of a larger investigation into the trafficking activities of the ’11 Hunnit’ neighborhood street gang, known to operate in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood, according to a news release.

These people are accused of conspiring to distribute and possess cocaine:

  • Donald Epps, age 65, of New Kensington.
  • Michael Glenn, age 57, Pittsburgh.
  • Michael Turner, age 47, Wampum.
  • Gary Wilkinson, age 56, Pittsburgh.
  • Dion Williams, age 44, Pittsburgh.
  • Ivan Upsher, age 58, of Pittsburgh.
  • Gerald Bogan Jr., age 39, of Pittsburgh.
  • Charles King, age 57, of Pittsburgh.
  • Jeffrey Brown, age 50, of Pittsburgh.
  • Michael Jones, age 69, of Monessen.

They each face a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of life imprisonment, a fine of up to $10 million or both.

These two men are charged with conspiring to distribute and possess crack:

  • Timothy Harris, age 57, of Pittsburgh, PA; and
  • Giles Davis, age 60, of Pittsburgh, PA.

The sentence is a minimum of five years and up to 40 years of imprisonment, a fine of up to $5 million or both.

The FBI; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police (Bureau of Narcotics Investigations) led the multiagency investigation that also included the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.

The investigation resulted in a federal agent being shot Thursday morning on Marion Street in Uptown.
