McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — A 14-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting of a man during a fight over a cigarette Saturday in McKees Rocks, Allegheny County police announced Friday.
The victim was walking home from a store and was on a wooded path next to Munson Avenue when he was approached by three males who asked him for a cigarette, investigators said.
When the man refused to give the group a cigarette, a fight began and he was shot in the hand and the area of his chest and shoulder, according to police.

The man ran for help and police were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. to Munson Avenue.
On Thursday, police charged the 14-year-old boy, who was taken to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center.
Authorities are still working to identify the other two males involved in the incident.
