15 years later, families still seek answers to boys unsolved deaths

A Butler County mother is enlisting the help of psychics, desperate for clues after her son and his friend were killed by a hit-and-run driver 15 years ago Monday.

“It's like day one. It doesn’t seem like it's 15 years. Seems like the day after,” said Ailive Rausch. Her son, Scott Fosnaught, and his friend, Shawn Baur, were killed while walking home along Cash Dollar Road in Evans City.

But their killer was never caught.

Friends and family gathered Monday to remember the 15-year-old boys.

Both families have a lot of unanswered questions.

“Would he have a wife, children? That was all taken,” said Nicole Baur, Shawn’s sister. “It's still unsolved. It's hard to come up here. I avoid this road.”

Fosnaught's mother has enlisted the help of two psychic sisters.

Jean Vincent brought out items out belonging to Fosnaught, hoping to get more information to give to police to help with the investigation.

“Take some notes. Re-walk the path. Get some energy and see signs and symbols. Get closure. Get accountability,” Vincent said. “I do feel someone knows and will come forward.”

There is a $20,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
