PENN HILLS, Pa. — Two girls were abducted Wednesday from Penn Hills and later found safe, Channel 11′s news exchange partners at TribLIVE reported.
The girls were taken in the area of Grove and Lincoln roads shortly after 11 a.m., Penn Hills police Chief Howard Burton told TribLIVE. They were found about 5 p.m. somewhere in Pittsburgh.
Police were looking for three suspects in two cars, TribLIVE reported. One of the cars was red and the other was white.

Investigators said they were able to find one of the vehicles involved, a white Dodge Charger, in Oakland. Detectives said they are still looking at what happened, but they do not believe the girls were random targets.
Allegheny County police have taken over the investigation.
Neighbors told Channel 11 it was quiet street where the incident started.
“I pulled up around 11:30 and I saw 12 police cars had this whole row blocked,” Amanda Rankin said.
Rankin said she was stunned to see the police cars on her street.
