BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. — Three people were injured in a reported shooting in the parking lot of the Clearview Mall in Butler County.
Emergency responders were called to the mall for an incident between a group of men inside of Rural King just before 6:15 p.m. Police arrived on scene to find three injured men inside the store.
According to the criminal complaint, the caller was in the car with her friend, Carlos Gonzales Carril, and other passengers when shots were allegedly fired at their vehicle. Gonzales Carril fired back, and then was told to drive away, the complaint reads.
Gonzales Carril told police that the driver door of his white sedan had been shot at by two of the men from the store, and that he shot back twice. Police were unable to find bullet holes or damage to Gonzales Carril’s vehicle.
Pennsylvania State Troopers conducted a search of the Rural King parking lot and store, and located a gold SUV, running and unoccupied. The SUV had numerous bullet holes on each side, including all windows.
Troopers then discovered the three victims inside the store with multiple gunshot wounds. One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his head and torso, another to his torso, and the final victim was shot in the back of the head. All three men were transported by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital.

One of the victims was an acquaintance of Gonzales Carril, according to the criminal complaint. He told police that as they were all exiting Rural King, Gonzales Carril displayed a firearm and then one of the victims displayed theirs as well. The shots were fired once the three victims got into their vehicle.
Witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots, and then saw a white sedan pulling away at a normal speed.
Gonzales Carril has been charged with three counts of criminal homicide, three counts of aggravated assault, and three counts of simple assault.
