WHITE OAK, Pa. — Two Pittsburgh Police motorcycle officers were hurt in a crash while working a security detail for Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. along Lincoln Way in White Oak.

The officers were protecting Pence’s motorcade at the time. Both officers were taken to the hospital and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Pittsburgh Public Safety said this about the incident:
“Pittsburgh Public Safety would like to thank Vice-President Pence and members of the United States Secret Service for the concern and attention they showed the two injured officers.
Vice-President Pence stopped to tend to the officers personally; a gesture that was greatly appreciated by the officers themselves, and by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.”
