PITTSBURGH — For the second year in a row, Pittsburgh’s Picklesburgh has been voted America’s best specialty food festival, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced Friday.
Picklesburgh was voted No. 1 in a USA Today Readers’ Poll.
Picklesburgh beat out competition in cities including Chicago, Houston and Miami, according to the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

“We are ecstatic that Pittsburghers continue to champion the Picklesburgh event. The support for it has been unprecedented, and this second win shows how passionate the city is about this event staying on top,” Jeremy Waldrup, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, said. “The popularity of Picklesburgh continues to grow alongside the unique culinary concoctions created, pickle juice chugged competitively, and most of all, a fiercely loyal following that’s developed for this uniquely Pittsburgh experience.”
The festival was first held in 2015. It will return for its sixth year in mid-July.
