PLUM BOROUGH, Pa. — A 23-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest in Plum Borough.
Police were notified of the shooting in the 7800 block of Saltsburg Road around 7:58 p.m. Friday.
Police said the victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Channel 11 was given surveillance video that shows what happened the night the man was shot in Plum.
You can see three people in dark hoodies chase the victim around the back of a house and onto a porch.
The men begin fighting, and you see someone pull out a gun. Then, the victim is shot, and falls to the ground.
“I was shocked some thing like that happened here,” Roxanne Kestener said.
Kestener often visits the American Legion, which is just 100 yards away from where the shooting happened on Saltsburg Road.
“Stuff like this doesn’t happen in Plum,” she added.
So far in 2022, there has been one stabbing, and just two shootings in Plum.
Before this year, the most recent shooting was in 2020.
The victim is in the hospital in stable condition, and the suspects have not been caught.
