PITTSBURGH — A reunion nearly 70 years in the making finally happened Saturday, thanks to a 23andMe ancestry test.

George Felsing had not seen his siblings since they were separated in Ligonier back in 1950, when their family fell on hard times.

George’s sister Sandra was later adopted, and he thought he’d never see her again.

Fast forward to Staurday, when the long-lost siblings reunited at Avonworth Community Park, where George’s family was celebrating the high school graduation of his grandson.

The emotions were high for everyone involved.

The siblings are now in their 70s and say that the reunion was well worth the wait.

Sandra is spending some time in Pittsburgh before returning home to Florida.
