WILKINSBURG, Pa. — Two men and a woman are being charged with robbing and killing a mother of two in broad daylight.
Keiauna Davis, 27, was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in Wilkinsburg.
Police said Dane Taylor, 21, Laya Whitley, 21, and Kaijin Scott, 23, were behind the robbery and fatal shooting.
According to a criminal complaint, officers said Whitley and Davis both worked at the Dollar General store on Laketon Road -- the same road where the shooting took place -- and were working together the night of the shooting.
Police said Davis had $3,000 in her possession at the time of the shooting, allegedly from Davis's income tax return, according to a witness.
Detectives discovered a series of text messages that suggest Whitley set Davis up. Whitley sent messages to Taylor around 11:30 a.m. Thursday saying Davis had brought $7,000 to work. Around 12:50 p.m., Taylor told her "It's a go" and to delete their previous messages.

Police said Whitley missed two calls from Taylor's phone at 2:45 p.m., just prior to when police said Davis was robbed and shot to death.
According to the criminal complaint, Taylor, who does not have a license to carry a firearm in Pa., fatally shot Davis after exiting a gray Toyota vehicle driven by Scott.
Police said following the incident, Scott drove Taylor back to his house. Taylor proceeded to give him approximately $800.
All three suspects are in custody and are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and homicide.
They are being lodged in the Allegheny County Jail.
