CARMICHAELS, Pa. — Gunshots were fired during an altercation involving five people at a gas station in Greene County on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
The shooting happened about 4 p.m. at the Circle K gas station on West George Street in Carmichaels.
According to Greene County District Attorney David Russo, four people from Fayette County got into a fight with a person from Greene County.
A Pennsylvania State Police report detailed that a teenager stole from a vehicle containing four other people. That group chased after the teenager and physically assaulted him, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
Three people were shot and taken to a hospital, police said.
When Chopper 11 flew over the scene, a number of police vehicles could be seen as portions of the gas station and a nearby road were cordoned off. Part of a backyard was also taped off.
All suspects were apprehended and charges are forthcoming as the investigation continues, Russo said.
