3 men in critical condition after shooting in Mt. Oliver

MT. OLIVER, Pa. — Three men were rushed to the hospital after a shooting in Mt. Oliver Tuesday night.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Stamm Avenue. Police said one 20-year-old man was found shot in the head at the scene, and the other two victims were found blocks away.

According to a release, the victims were standing in front of a home on Stamm Avenue when a man dressed in black clothing approached them and fired multiple shots with a handgun. He then allegedly drove away from the scene in a red pickup truck toward Brownsville Road.

Allegheny County police said a 23-year-old man was found on Arlington Avenue shot in the arm, while a 19-year-old was shot in the neck. He was found by officers on Locust Street.

All three victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A neighbor told Channel 11′s Amy Hudak he was playing with his 4-year-old daughter in his backyard when he heard at least eight gunshots. Another neighbor said he was with his newborn when he heard 10 gunshots and saw a man with a handgun run by his house.

Allegheny County police are taking over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Channel 11 crews saw detectives going in and out of an alley between two homes in the area where the shooting happened.

Crews collected numerous brown bags worth of evidence, gathering surveillance video from nearby homes and scoured the area for clues.
