NEW CASTLE — Three people were charged Friday in connection with a “planned” homicide incident that occurred in New Castle in March.
New Castle Police charged Tyler McMillan, 32; Karalinn Perrotta, 22; and Khalil Newman, 24, after a monthslong investigation into the March 24 incident, which occurred in the parking lot of the McGrath Manor Housing Complex on West Washington Street.

The victim in the case was 25-year-old Andre Robinson, who was shot numerous times while sitting in a vehicle. Police said McMillan, Newman and Perrotta planned the homicide as a result of an ongoing feud with McMillan.
McMillen and Perrotta were arrested following a traffic stop on Lathrop Street near East Washington Street, and Newman was arrested at a home on Lutton Street
A search warrant was also executed on a home in the 1200 block of Huron Ave. where three firearms, numerous weapon magazines and ammunition, several bags of suspected Ecstasy pills (MDMA) and a digital scale were found. Two of the weapons were reported stolen.
McMillan was charged with homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and several weapons charges. Newman was charged with homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide. Perrotta was charged with conspiracy to commit homicide and two counts of receiving stolen property.
