PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County reported 77 new positive COVID-19 cases Saturday, according to the Allegheny County Health Department.
With Saturday’s new cases, the county’s total positive cases is now at 9,359. In the last 24 hours, the new positive cases come from 1,321test results from from Aug.10 through Aug. 14.
The department also received reports of 11 new hospitalizations. Since March, there has been 777 people hospitalized because of coroanvirus complications.

New cases range in patient age from three months to 93 years with an average patient age of 44 years.

The total number of deaths as a result of COVID-19 in Allegheny County is 284. The newly reported death is of a person in their 70s with who died on Aug. 9.
Across the state, 850 additional positive cases of COVID-19 were reported, bringing the statewide total to 123,800.

There are 7,465 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 20 new deaths reported.
There are 1,319,884 patients who have tested negative to date.
