But not everyone is pleased with the light show.

“Fireworks, one o’clock, four o’clock in the morning -- all around. Can they please stop? Please stop and let the people get some sleep!” one Allegheny County resident told Channel 11.

Neighbors are fed up, saying they can’t sleep because fireworks are popping off all hours of the night.

“It’s just loud booming in the late night while I’m trying to lay down, get ready for work,” Homestead resident Jalesa Caldwell said.

Some are wondering if coronavirus has more people trapped inside looking for entertainment, or if it just the time of the year.

Penn Hills police said they are already seeing calls about fireworks, and the season is just starting. They’ve already cited a family, and they said they won’t be the last.

Fireworks are legal in Pennsylvania as long as they’re set off 150 feet or more from a building.

Always check with the town or municipality you live in. There might be different regulations.
