ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — The Allegheny County Health Department gave it’s last COVID-19 update via email Friday.
Friday’s COVID-19 numbers included 100 new cases and 2 new deaths.
Daily updates from the Health Department will continue to be sent through Allegheny Alerts and social media.

The 100 new COVID-19 cases reported Friday were out of 1,134 tests. Of those cases, 98 are confirmed and two are probable. The dates of positive tests were between Aug. 24 and Sept. 10.
New cases ranged in age from 4 months to 94 years old.

The two new deaths were people in their 80s and were both associated with a long-term care facility. They died on Aug. 23 and Aug. 31.
Since March 14, there have been 11,069 cases of COVID-19 in Allegheny County residents, 1,053 hospitalizations and 360 deaths.
