PITTSBURGH — Allegheny Technologies Inc., a publicly traded manufacturer that has maintained its headquarters at PPG Place downtown since the office complex was built, has launched a search for a new office in advance of its lease expiration next year.
Natalie Gillespie, a spokeswoman for ATI, confirmed the company’s decision to scout for a new office in which a move from PPG Place, a six-building, 1.5-million-square-foot complex owned by North Carolina-based Highwoods Properties, is a possibility.
She said in an email: “In 2022, our lease with Highwoods for corporate office space at PPG expires. We are using this opportunity to conduct a review of the available market. We are exploring spaces that may better fit today’s ATI, to further our transformation by helping to influence how we operate and interact.”
