PITTSBURGH — Are you looking to make some quick extra cash? Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures are looking for men and women ages 19-45 “who have great knowledge and experience playing baseball or softball to portray 1940′s baseball teams.”

The casting is for “A League of Their Own,” a new series that will start filming in Pittsburgh. Starring Abbi Jacobson of “Broad City” and D’Arcy Carden of “The Good Place,” the series is adapted from the 1992 film. Variety reported the series will tell the story of a generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball, and will also explore race and sexuality.
All players selected will make $250 for 8 hours on days they work. Anything over 8 hours will be overtime pay. Film officials said they are preparing for 10-12 hour workdays, sometimes going as long as 14 hours.
