Arnold Palmer Regional Airport now using UV air-cleaning equipment

UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Arnold Palmer Regional Airport will now be using ultraviolet air-cleaning equipment to keep staff and visitors healthy and safe.

“We are committed to our staff and our clients,” said Gabe Monzo, executive director of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority. “This is the latest technology available to us and we are happy to have it for anyone using the terminal at Latrobe.”

In May, Pittsburgh International Airport announced they would be using floor scrubbing robots that also use ultraviolet light to disinfect high traffic areas.

They were the first U.S. airport to use the robots.
