PITTSBURGH — A man was arrested in connection with a robbery at a grocery store in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood, police announced Thursday morning.
Alan Sloan, 55, is accused of robbing the Giant Eagle on Murray Avenue in broad daylight on Feb. 28.

Police said Sloan claimed to have a weapon when he demanded cash from a register.
Once Sloan was arrested, he was taken to the Allegheny County Jail. He is charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking and prohibited acts.
