PITTSBURGH — A man has been arrested in the deadly stabbing of a woman Friday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, police said Saturday.
Officers were called shortly before 4 p.m. Friday to a home on Francis Street for a domestic incident, authorities said. The woman was found with multiple stab wounds in the home’s basement and was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where she died shortly after 4:30 p.m.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as 34-year-old Makebia Morgan, of Swissvale.
Police said 31-year-old Quincy Fuqua, the man suspected of stabbing Morgan, was found outside the home. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with several cuts and was arrested after his release.
Fuqua is charged with criminal homicide.
