WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — A family is safe after escaping their burning West Mifflin home early Tuesday morning, and an investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
A Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives accelerant K-9 was seen with investigators after the fire, which was reported about 1 a.m. on Outlook Drive.
The fire caused damage to the home’s roof and front entryway, which is where a lot of the investigation seemed to be focused. An investigator was seen taking pictures as the K-9 sniffed around.
