Bethel Park School District is alerting parents about two separate security incidents.

Two Bethel Park High School students told a police officer that a student made a verbal threat against the Steel Center for Career and Technical Education.

Police tracked down the student almost immediately. They pulled over the school bus on which the student was riding and took the student off the bus.

TRENDING NOW:

The bus was on the way to the Steel Center.

According to a letter sent to parents, another student was found to be in possession of a knife at the Steel Center.

The student did not threaten anyone with the knife, but it was confiscated by Steel Center administration officials as soon as they knew about the threat.

The district is commending the students who informed them of both incidents.

It's not clear what will happen to the students who made the threats.
