Bicyclist killed after being hit by car in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a car in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood.

Police said the crash occurred in the 5700 block of Stanton Avenue around 1 a.m.

There, first responders found an unconscious cyclist and began CPR. Medics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

The female driver remained on the scene, police said.

The Collision Investigation Unit arrived to process the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
