PITTSBURGH — The body of Thomas Hughes was pulled from the Ohio River months after he was reported missing.
Family members told Channel 11 on Thursday that his body was found near Monaca. Pittsburgh Public Safety officials confirmed the discovery.
This comes three months after Hughes was reported missing. In late January, his van was found with the keys in the ignition by his family at the entrance of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail on Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Police later released a video showing him at a gas station on the night he was last seen.
“It’s something that’s completely unlike him. He’s never done this before. I’m worried sick,” a family member told Channel 11 in January.
The Beaver County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of Hughes’ death.
