BLAWNOX, Pa. — Allegheny County police confirmed that a body was pulled from the Allegheny River on Sunday, according to county spokesperson Amie Downs.
The body of Gregory Benton, 37, of Pittsburgh, was found behind a residence in the 100 block of First Avenue in Blawnox, Downs said.
The incident was reported around 6 p.m.

Downs said a boater spotted the body and called 911.
The medical examiner said Benton's cause of death was pending additional testing.
