Body pulled from river near Pittsburgh’s 40th Street Bridge

PITTSBURGH — A body was pulled from the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh after boaters spotted it Sunday afternoon, police said.

Boaters alerted police to the male’s body shortly after 1 p.m. after it was seen near the 40th Street Bridge.

River Rescue crews recovered the body from the water.

Major Crimes is investigating.
