PITTSBURGH — A South Side club was shut down after a raid by the Pennsylvania State Police on Saturday.

According to police, after numerous complaints about the illegal sale of alcohol at the Boom Boom Room, located in the 1700 block of East Carson Street, police conducted undercover visits and witnessed alleged illegal liquor sales.

The club was raided on Saturday shortly after 2 a.m., and troopers seized approximately 5.16 gallons of malt or brewed beverages and approximately 22.35 liters of liquor.

The Allegheny County Health Department also shut down the club for operating without a license. Other violations included failure to submit plans, failure to post occupancy limits, inadequate equipment, inadequate pest control, inadequate cleaning and sanitizing, inadequate toilet facilities and serving liquor from an unknown source.

The Boom Boom Room does not appear on the state liquor license website search results.

This is also the location of a fight that led to assault allegations against NFL defensive star Aaron Donald, which were later dropped after surveillance video showed Donald was trying to break up the fight.
