PITTSBURGH — A car stolen during a home burglary led police on a chase early Thursday morning in Pittsburgh, police said.
Investigators said a home on Semple Street in Central Oakland was burglarized about 9 p.m. Wednesday. Cash, jewelry and the car were stolen.
About 1 a.m. Thursday, the stolen car was spotted in downtown Pittsburgh in the area of Seventh Avenue and Grant Street, police said.

The car drove off, prompting a police chase from downtown, onto the Boulevard of the Allies and through the Hill District, authorities said.
The occupants of the car jumped out on Oak Hill Drive, near Hyman Place. Police said a brief foot chase ensued before two men were taken into custody.
Officers tackled one of the men, while a K-9 tracked the driver down in the woods. Police said they recovered drugs, cash and cellphones from the men.
