PITTSBURGH — WPXI-TV anchor Lisa Sylvester was honored at New Pittsburgh Courier’s “Women of Excellence” Class of 2019 Awards Ceremony on Thursday.
The New Pittsburgh Courier, a historic African American weekly newspaper and multi-media organization, honored 50 local African American women who are making outstanding strides in their line of expertise—business/finance, community service, media/entertainment, politics, law, religion, and more.

The event was held at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.
