The crosswalk is marked with signs telling pedestrians to look left. The woman was hit by the 71 A bus, which now has a broken windshield.
Emergency dispatchers said the woman, a college student, was semi-conscious and taken to a hospital to be evaluated.
A woman who was a passenger on the bus hit her head. She and the bus driver also went to the hospital.
Pitt students said walking around campus can be tricky.
"It's hard for us to cross, but at the same time, it is kind of dangerous because we're all going when sometimes we're not supposed to," student Ashley Priore said.
