PITTSBURGH — Construction of a 26-story tower, which will become the future headquarters of First National Bank, is moving forward at the former Civic Arena Site in Pittsburgh’s Lower Hill neighborhood.
According to a release, the Buccini/Pollin Group now has all financing necessary to move forward.
Minority‐owned Clay Cove Capital joined BPG, the Pittsburgh Penguins and FNB Corporation as investors in the $230 million tower.

“The project will be the most highly visible addition to the Pittsburgh skyline and a critical catalyst for over $1 billion of economic expansion, job creation and neighborhood reinvestment,” the group said in the release.
The group said this will be one of the first post-COVID office towers in the United States to feature “next-generation office space that promotes employee health and well-being.” Flexible floorplans, floor to ceiling glass for enhanced natural light, extended ceiling heights, superior indoor air quality systems and touchless technology in common areas and elevators are part of the design.
Groundbreaking is expected in 2021.
