A Butler County couple who investigators say stole $1 million from Butler Health System have pleaded guilty to federal fraud and tax charges.
Stephanie Roskovski, the former COO of Butler Health System, pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud and one count of filing a false income tax return. Her husband, Scott Roskovski, a former county detective whose job was to investigate fraud and financial crimes, pleaded guilty today to one count of filing a false income tax return and one count of submitting a false loan application to a bank.

Federal prosecutors say over the course of six years, Stephanie Roskovski, while serving as the COO for Butler Health System, embezzled in excess of $1.3 million from her employer using her business credit card.
The couple spent the money on lavish vacations, renovations to their home and even bought Switchback Raceway, a sprawling motocross facility along Route 8, according to prosecutors.
Sentencing for Stephanie Roskovski is scheduled for Oct. 5 and for Scott Roskovski for Oct. 6.
