Seven students were passengers on the bus, which was heading to Clayton Academy, Pittsburgh Public Schools spokesperson Ebony Pugh said. There were no major injuries and the students were medically cleared at the scene.
Neither driver was hurt.
Police said the driver of the truck was waiting to make a turn onto Smallman Street. The bus was driving in the opposite direction on 11th Street.
The pickup truck, which spun into another lane because of the crash, sustained significant damage to its front left side.
The bus ended up across the street in the bushes.
Police are investigating which driver was at fault. Witnesses gave Channel 11 News conflicting reports.
