BALDWIN, Pa. — A man was arrested in the murder of another man with whom he had been communicating through a dating app, police announced Wednesday night.
Adam Rosenberg, 21, of Fox Chapel, is charged with homicide in the death of 28-year-old Jeremy Dentel, who was found shot to death Sunday night at his home in Baldwin.
Dentel was last seen about 8 p.m. Friday, but investigators determined he had used an app until about 6 p.m. Saturday.

According to a criminal complaint, the men had been messaging each other in the days and minutes before the shooting. Rosenberg asked the victim if he lived alone then repeatedly asked to meet up until Dentel agreed to have him over Saturday night.
Surveillance video from a neighbor’s home shows a man putting on gloves before entering Dentel’s home around 6 p.m. Less than a minute later, the video shows the same man leaving the home, getting into a car and speeding off, the complaint said.
The next day, the victim’s parents found him face down in the hallway.
Police said detectives recovered ammunition from Rosenberg’s bedroom that matched the ammunition recovered in Dentel’s home and cellphone records link the two men.
Rosenberg’s attorney said there are no witnesses and no DNA and said the criminal complaint contains a lot of speculation.
In addition to homicide, Rosenberg is charged with robbery, firearm violations and tampering with evidence.
