PENNSYLVANIA — As Pennsylvanians are well aware, the state played a critical role in the presidential election -- and the race remains tight. So, here is a look at where your votes have fallen in western Pennsylvania.
Joe Biden took the lead in Pennsylvania over President Donald Trump just before 9 a.m. Friday as the results of mail-in ballots continued to be calculated. He was projected the winner in both the state, and the presidential election, Saturday morning.
Here’s where things stand in the race for the White House in Pennsylvania, as of Monday, November 16:
- Joe Biden: 3,423,976 (49.93%)
- Donald Trump: 3,354,836 (48.92%)
Pennsylvania was necessary for Trump to stay afloat.
With the state’s 20 electoral votes, Pennsylvania put Joe Biden over the 270 electoral votes needed to win the election. It was a must-win for Trump because even if he were to win every other state that hadn’t been called, it would still not be enough to win re-election without Pennsylvania.
Below is a breakdown of how western Pennsylvania has voted, as of 11 a.m. Monday, November 16. All counties except for Allegheny County have voted in favor of Trump.
