PITTSBURGH — President Donald Trump is reacting to video showing protesters confronting restaurant patrons in downtown Pittsburgh over the weekend.
One of the incidents occurred in front of Sienna Mercato on Penn Avenue. A social media video showed Black Lives Matter protesters yelling and cursing at people eating outside the restaurant. One woman walked up to a table and downed someone’s drink while several other people smashed glasses on the ground.

“BLM Protesters horribly harass elderly Pittsburgh diners, scaring them with loud taunts while taking their food right off their plate. These Anarchists, not protesters, are Biden voters, but he has no control and nothing to say. Disgraceful. Never seen anything like it. Thugs!” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
Pittsburgh police said they are reviewing several videos shared on social media over the holiday weekend.

In another video, demonstrators became aggressive with the manager inside a McDonald’s restaurant.
Activists told Channel 11 News that what was caught on video and shared on social media does not represent the protest movement or the message in Pittsburgh.
