MILLVALE, Pa. — A driver has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing a pickup truck into a business early Monday morning in Millvale, officials said.
The crash was reported shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Evergreen Avenue, where the driver crashed into a chiropractor’s office and also hit a neighboring home. Officials believe the driver then backed up onto Evergreen Avenue and called 911 on himself.
Narcotics were found in the truck, police said.

Firefighters and crews from a gas company were seen checking the damage to the buildings. The Millvale fire chief said code enforcement officers will inspect both buildings.
Part of Evergreen Avenue was closed for a short time.

No one was hurt, which Shawn Hickey, who lives in the home that was hit, said is a miracle.
Hickey said before going to bed Sunday night, he placed a statue of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus on top of his car. He woke up to the commotion outside and realized the statue was still there, untouched.
“She was saying, ‘God knew all along this was all gonna happen. Everything’s fine. Be calm. You’re gonna be fine,’” Hickey said.
