CHESWICK, Pa. — The driver of a tractor-trailer is dead after a train slammed into the truck, pushing it against a building, Thursday morning in Cheswick, officials said.
The collision was reported about 5:30 a.m. in the area of Pittsburgh and Blockdale streets as the 55-year-old tractor-trailer driver was trying to cross the train tracks.

The driver who was killed has been identified as David Nezekiah.

The impact of the crash caused extensive damage to the building that the tractor-trailer was pushed against. Despite that, the building, which is located in the Watercrest Business Park, is still structurally sound.
Two people live upstairs in the building that was hit. They said the experience was terrifying.
“I heard the train whistles blowing, which they blow all the time. Next thing I hear is smash, and the building shaking,” a man named Paul, who lives in the building, said.
