NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Two people were reportedly injured Tuesday afternoon at the Meadows Race Track in North Strabane Township.
Two people were hurt when a horse in a qualifying race took a bad step entering one of the turns and fell to the track. Track officials said another horse could not avoid the incident and also fell, flipping the driver off his bike.
Police said they were called out just before 2 p.m. to the track where they found the two drivers.
One was taken by ambulance and the other was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh area hospital. They both had non-life threatening injuries
Officials with the Meadows said the horses involved are okay.
