SOUTH FAYETTE — One lane of Miller’s Run Road in South Fayette has been blocked off for almost a year because of a landslide that happened in 2020.
Recently, the cones that blocked the lane of traffic were replaced with tall barriers. Drivers said that the new barriers make oncoming traffic difficult to see and want the road fixed once and for all.
“I don’t know who goes first. You sit there and you wait and the other person is so far away you have no idea if they’re coming at you or not,” Domenica Merante explained.
The South Fayette Township Manager said repairs to the road are up to PennDOT. According to an update that the township received, repairs are based on Factors including funding, traffic volume, and repair type.
Miller’s Run Road won’t be fixed until next year.
Channel 11 will be checking in with PennDOT to find out when or if there is a clear timeline on when Miller’s Run Road will be repaired.
