Pennsylvania police notched one of the largest heroin busts in Westmoreland County on Friday.
They say they nabbed more than a half a million dollars in heroin being moved across the turnpike.

The illegal cargo was in a hidden, hydraulic compartment state police came across during a traffic stop in Mt. Pleasant Township.
"He was able to activate that trap and subsequently find a half a million dollars of heroin that was packaged and sealed for delivery on its way to the Pittsburgh area,” Trooper Steve Limani said.

The car contained 25,000 stamp bags ready to be sold.
"That's going to put a huge dent in the heroin distribution ring that's happening in our area," Limani said.
The driver, David Mora, is from Philadelphia.
Channel 11 has been following the crackdown on heroin for more than a year. We sent reporters to Philadelphia and the Mexico border to see how these drugs are making their way to the Pittsburgh area -- and we learned last May dealers have been funneling drugs across the turnpike and right into the heart of our community.
"This is a business, this is what they do and their business is ruining the lives of the people in our communities. And we have to work as a group to stop it," Limani said.
