Eagle cam now online from West Mifflin U.S. Steel plant

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — A new live webcam just went online from the U.S. Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin and its trained on bald eagles nesting along the Monongahela River.

According to our partners at TribLIVE.com, the nest is believed to be the only one located at a working steel mill in Pennsylvania. The birds have the nest in a sycamore tree in an area lining the river about 100 yards below mill buildings.

This is their third year at the site.

Workers at the plant have named the birds Irvin and Claire after the Mon Valley Works facilities.

New cameras were installed at this nest, and the Pittsburgh Hays bald eagle nest allowing for higher resolution.
