Those are words from Josh Sherrell, the father of 23-month-old Aubree Sherrell, who died in April. This week, his ex-girlfriend Deasha Ringgold was charged in her death.
"She had a smile that could light up a room," Sherrell said of Aubree. "She was so happy all the time, a beautiful soul. My angel forever."

Sherrell said Ringgold was babysitting Aubree at their Clairton apartment while he was at work.
"She told me what she told everyone else, that she found her like that and I just left it up to the detectives to do their jobs," he said.
To make things even more complicated, Sherrell said RInggold is pregnant with their child. But all he can focus on now is getting justice for Aubree.
"She didn’t deserve that and she will get what’s coming for them," he said.
