PITTSBURGH — Officials with the FBI Pittsburgh branch and international authorities announced at a news conference Wednesday the arrest of two Israeli nationals in connection with millions of dollars they made from the sale of drugs on the dark web.
The FBI said french authorities arrested one of the individuals, and Israeli authorities arrested the second person.
Officials at the news conference Wednesday said these peope created a dark web site that allowed users to access other dark web marketplaces for fentanyl, carfentanil, cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, guns and hacking software tools.
The two men are in custody in France and Israel. It's unclear what charges they will face.
