PITTSBURGH — The Federal Emergency Management Agency approved Pennsylvania for a grant under the Lost Wages Assistance program.
The grant will allow the state to provide an extra $300 in unemployment benefits.
FEMA will work with Gov. Tom Wolf to put a system in place to make the funding available for Pennsylvania residents.
Earlier this month, President Donald Trump made up to $44 billion available from FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund to provide assistance to Americans who are unemployed due to COVID-19.
