Fire spreads to 3 buildings in Westmoreland County

JEANNETTE, Pa. — A fire spread to three buildings, including a duplex, impacting four families’ homes in Jeannette, officials said Thursday morning.

Flames were first reported shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Gaskill Avenue.

The home where the fire started is owned by a woman who is in a nursing home. Her daughter was looking after the house but didn’t live there.

The Jeannette fire chief said only was person was home and was awakened by firefighters.

No one was hurt.
