Neighbors tell Channel 11 it was a terrifying situation and they’re glad the parents and kids who live there are safe.
Fire crews knocked down the flames, but now there is heavy smoke and water damage to the connecting house.
People who live there said even through the damage is extensive, they are so relieved that no one was hurt. “There are all many kids that live in here between the three places. It could’ve been so much worse. It’s really a blessing,” a neighbor said.
Fire officials are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
