GREENSBURG, Pa. — The wife of the former national president of the Pagans Motorcycle Club said she has no idea why the suspect in a Penn Township double-murder would mention her husband’s name.
“We don’t know Victor Steban,” Shari Katona told our partners at TribLive.com.

Katona’s husband, Dennis “Rooster” Katona, spent more than five years in a federal prison in connection with a 2002 brawl in New York with the Hell’s Angels at the “Hellraiser Ball.” 10 people were hospitalized and one person died.
She said they have never met Steban and have no link to him. She also said she doesn’t know why he reportedly shot at their home over the weekend.
Steban, 53, told reporters Tuesday night that his actions were “all about getting Rooster” while he was being led to and from his arraignment. Steban faces multiple homicide charges in connection with the shooting deaths of Jacob Erdeljac, 41, and Mara Casale, 27. State police investigators said they also have evidence linking Steban to three shootings at rural homes.
TribLive.com reported that Westmoreland County District Attorney John Peck declined to comment when asked if Steban’s actions were related to “motorcycle gang activity.” Troopers also declined to comment if his actions were related to gang activity.
