Going up: Seven Springs Mountain Resort plans installation of new chairlift for 2021-2022 season

CHAMPION, Pa. — The Avalanche, a chairlift at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, is coming down and is being replaced by a new state-of-the-art Doppelmayr Alpen Star fixed grip quad chairlift that will increase the Somerset County resort’s lift capacity from 1,800 people per hour to 2,400 people per hour.

The installation will begin over the coming weeks and is expected to finish in time for the 2021-2022 winter season.
